Rabbi Shmuel Klatzkin received his BA in Psychology from Brandeis University, his MA and ordination from Hebrew Union College (Reform), Cincinnati, OH. In 1992, Rabbi Klatzkin received his PhD in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and has studied rabbinic and Chassidic thought in traditional settings with such scholars as Rabbis Adin Steinsaltz and Yitzchak Ginsburgh.

He is a member of the Authors' Board of the Jewish Learning Institute, a group providing sophisticated adult Jewish education in more than 200 locations around the world. He has lectured extensively on Jewish thought, Jewish mysticism, psychology and societal issues.

Rabbi Klatzkin lives in Dayton, Ohio with his family.
