Rabbi Asher Hecht
Asher Hecht is founding director of Camp Gan Israel, South Padre Island, Texas, a state-of-the-art water sports camp. Asher brings his innovativeness, experience and fantastic rapport with teenagers to our Aleph-Champ plus and jTeens programs. Asher received his rabbinic ordination from the Mayanot Institute in Jerusalem.
Fraidy Schmukler
Fraidy Schmukler is an Early Childhood educator. Fraidy’s tremendous artistic talent and teaching gifts are the backbone of our Children’s Creative Arts Center.
Fraidy is a graduate of BMC Teachers College.
Rabbi Yossi Shanowitz
Yossi Shanowitz is founder and director of Chabad of Westmount, known simply as “Rabbi Yossi”. Rabbi Yossi brings his vast knowledge in Talmud, Jewish Law and Chabad philosophy, as well as his warm and personal approach to teaching. Rabbi Yossi received his rabbinic ordination from Tomche Tmimim Yeshiva in New York.
Devorah Shanowitz
Devorah Shanowitz is a highly acclaimed Jewish Studies teacher and lecturer on Women’s Issues, with a passion for teaching and learning. Devorah is a graduate of Beth Rivkah Teacher's College of New York.
Dina Hecht
Dina brings her extensive background in Jewish outreach in Florida and Massachusetts to our Aleph Bet Reading Program for adults. Dina is a graduate of BCM Teachers Seminary in Montreal.
Dr. Mordy Shizgal
Dentist by profession, Mordy also has patients of a different type, patience. He brings that, his love of teaching, and his innate understanding of Chassidic thought to his classes.
