MAIMONIDES' 13 PRINCIPLES OF FAITH
With the words of Maimonides 13 Principles of Faith on their lips, and with their faith alive in their hearts, thousands of Jews marched to their inevitable deaths in the Nazi Concentration Camps, singing the Ani Maamin.

Ani Maamin. I Believe.

This expression of faith was written by one of Judaism’s
greatest scholars and, paradoxically, its greatest scientist.
Maimonides is renowned for his rationalist approach, yet his 13 Principles of Faith have become axiomatic to Jewish belief.

In it, Maimonides lays down the principles of Judaism, including:
Understanding G‑d
Reward and Punishment
Afterlife
The Soul
The Moshiach
And more.

This class is an-depth study of these principles. In addition to the basic text of The 13 Principles, it will also draw
comprehensively on Maimonides’ writings in Jewish law and philosophy. A fascinating course.
